Jonathan Embleton

Vice President, Product Ventures

Jonathan Embleton was named Vice President, Product Ventures, for Catalent Pharma Solutions in April 2007.

After joining the Company’s United Kingdom operations in 1992, he held a variety of roles in the development of new technologies for applications in oral, ophthalmic and inhalation drug delivery until 1999. From then to 2005, Dr. Embleton held roles in management, sales, product development, and business development within the Company’s European operations based in Switzerland.

In 2005, he relocated to New Jersey and assumed various product development and business development roles for the Company, with particular focus on the U.S. generic drug market.
Dr. Embleton currently leads a group that identifies and creates opportunities for Catalent to co-develop products with customers using the Company’s proprietary offerings.

Dr. Embleton holds a BSc. in biochemistry and business administration, as well as a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Aston University in the UK. He has co-authored scientific publications and is an inventor on a number of patents related to drug delivery formulations and devices.
